The Weather for Saturday’s ride looks sketchy... and I’ll be there reveling in it. Heck, the first ride presented us with very cold temps, so it would stand to reason that the the 2nd provides us rain and snow. Just remember to bundle up a bit more, and that a reasonably water-resistent top and wool go along way to curing snowy ills.

I’ll be there too. I’m not going to let a little precipitation bother me.
Maybe March’s ride will have thunderstorms.
I am going to let a little precipitation stop me. Maybe March will be better.
So KY Philo, you ARE or are NOT going to brave the elements? A little rain/snow won’t stop the RCCS. Come and warm up at eacd stop.
I will be sitting this one out, have a few for me!
KY Philo,
Sorry to hear you won’t be joining us. Hopefully March will be the month.
Thomas,
If you are the Thomas from the first ride, it was nice to meet you, hope to see you in March.
Tim,
I know we discussed a Berea ride at some point, so as not to leave out those further away, do we have a month planned for that yet?
KYPhilo discussed a Berea ride, but I don’t think there’s a date. That seems like a good early summer ride if he’s/you’re interested in hosting then.
I have a new date for my next one, the Paris-Redux ride, April 18th, a Saturday. That leaves the March date open.
And Thomas, come and join us next time.
I will not be making it. Driving four hours (round trip) for a cold/snowy ride is a bit much. Plus, we just ran out of firewood so I need to spend the day running the chainsaw.
I am still very interested in hosting a ride in Berea. The hard part will be narrowing it down. There won’t be any pub stops, unfortunately, but we can start and end at a good coffee shop. We have a fine selection of hills and curves around here. I think April would be the best time to have a ride around here. April is beautiful but May is more likely to be great weather.
I totally understand the weather/driving issues KYPhilo (the firewood, well, I would like to have a stove, but it’s all gas furnace for us here). As for April, I would really like to host a ride April 18th here in Louisville, so maybe May could be a Berea ride. I know my own schedule that says May 2nd 9th, 10th, 16th, and 23rd are out for me. It’s a crazy month, so you might just have to choose a date and go with it, whether I can participate or not. The advantage of scheduling around me is that I can bring multiple bikes to Berea with the truck and hitch rack.
Have a great Saturday and stay in touch for March.
Take a look at May and consider something. I think we could get some energetic folks to come your way.
