Our 2nd RCCS ride took us about 35 miles in some of the poorest weather one can imagine. Try 35F, driving rain, driving wind, snow and frozen feet as a motivating factor for a group ride. That said, it was the most fun I’ve had on the bike in a while. Following are some pics I snapped from the ride, one which took us from Sunergos, north to Rich O’s in New Albany, back across the ominous bridge to the BBC on Theater Square and up into the Highlands to Cumberland Brews. The route and brew stops made for an excellent day, but the fine weather even more so made for an epic day.

I had a great time. Oddly, I would rather have the bad weather in a ride like this than on my commute.
Oh, and I popped another spoke on my rear wheel, that’s why it was making noise toward the end of the ride. It’s really time to get new wheels built.
Glad I could make it out on Saturday’s ride. The adventure alone was worth braving the elements. It will be good to see the numbers increase as the weather warms…..not that a little snow and rain ever really hurt anyone.
