Paris-Redux Recon

Dave and I spent a couple hours today roaming around parts of Louisville looking for and riding brick alleyways in preparation for the April ‘Paris-Redux’ ride. We thoroughly covered the Highlands, Old Louisville and Downtown, and my next recon ride will be to tidy up Crescent Hill. The present route map doesn’t look impressive topographically, but by my count we have 12 different segments right now, depending on how you count them. Crescent Hill is challenging because it gives us bricks and hills, like the well-known Peterson Ave. portion.

We’ll look forward, first, to Dave’s Clark State Forest ‘country ride’, where I’ll get the Rans Rocket out of mothball for a ‘bent fest. See you in 2 weeks.

**As an amendment, I’ve changed the date of the Paris-Redux to a Sunday, the 19th. With ‘Soccer Saturdays’, Sunday works better as a general day, and if the theme matters, the real P-R takes place that morning.

This sounds like a totally awesome idea!

I keep missing your rides, they’ve been on Saturdays, and I can’t get out of the shop.

    Sunday Pavé!

Depending on the family schedule, Sunday might work. We’ll know the winner of the Sunday Paris-Roubaix race, and can ride in tribute. I’ll think about that.

i’m a participant in the soccer saturdays as well and soon to be shop/soccer saturdays. I think I’m going to start playing hooky from polo once a month to join in the sunday rides.
