Saturday Rides

I was really disappointed that I had to cancel last Sunday’s pizza ride.  Well, this Saturday, March 5th, I’m going to get my pizza.  Will you join me?

The original plan was a 70-miler going over Moser Knob.  There was some trepidation from a few people about 70-miles, so I’m splitting the ride in two.

Both rides end at their starting location.  If you want to do both rides, I’m taking a winding route between rides of about 10 miles from St. Matthews to Jeffersonville.  You could have a 90+ mile day, as I will.

These are social rides.  There are no cue sheets.  Plan to ride a slow to moderate pace.  I won’t leave anyone behind.

If you’re unsure if the ride is still going to happen, feel free to call before the ride.  You can reach me at 812-989-7589.  That may also be useful if I’m running late to the pizza ride.

Your Kycyclist post says these two rides are on different days, Sat and Sunday.

  2. Thanks for pointing that out. I was in a hurry. 🙁

Now that that’s fixed: I won’t be able to make it, need to be back sooner than I’d expect to on the 50 miler. Have a great ride.

I’m going to text you in the 12ish area and see where you are. I might ride out to meet you for a bit of a spin towards downtown and then return homeward. I have to be ready by 2.30 for a game.

I’m going to try for the coffee ride; barring (as always) bike disasters. A friend of mine who’s getting into distance riding (a little at a time) will be in the area after church, but I don’t think he’s quite ready for a 50-miler yet, so I will have to pass on the pizza ride again (though I suppose I could just be evil and not tell him it’s 50 miles with a big hill in the mix }:D).

I need to learn to read, apparently, LOL. I read both the kycyclist email and the blog entry, and still saw ‘Sunday’ both times. Durrr. One of these days, I’ll get my act together 🙂
